<p><font size="3"><strong><a href="http://aauw.org/education/fga/fellowships_grants/career_development.cfm">AAUW</a>  <a href="http://aauw.org/education/fga/fellowships_grants/career_development.cfm">Career  Development Grants</a></strong> support women who hold a bachelor&#8217;s degree and are  preparing to advance their careers, change careers, or re-enter the work force.  Special consideration is given to women of color, and women pursuing their first  advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields. Last year AAUW awarded  more than $500K. The deadline for 2010-2011 applications is December 15. </strong>AAUW, the American University Women and Politics Institute  (WPI), and Running Start are joining forces to launch a pilot program to  increase the numbers of young women running for student offices on their  campuses.</p>
<p>Campaign College kicks off January 31, at Iowa State  University, and the program will soon be implemented at the University of  Louisiana, Lafayette, and Nyack College, Manhattan.</p>

</strong>AAUW applauds  President Barack Obama for signing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which  restores the long-standing interpretation of civil rights laws and EEOC policies  that allow employees to challenge any discriminatory paycheck they receive.</p>
