AAUW Wilmington has collaborated with UNC Wilmington to bring a $tart $mart workshop to the UNCW campus –

This workshop will train UNCW students on the importance of negotiating the best possible salary for their first job after graduation, and provide them with skills and tools to help with that negotiation.
Annie Houle of the WAGE Project, the founders of the $tart $mart program, will be participating in the workshop for the students and will also lead a training session for facilitators who wish to replicate the program on their campuses. This is a unique opportunity since observing the student workshop will be part of the facilitator training — usually those wishing to be facilitators talk through a sample workshop, but do not get a chance to see one “live”.
The facilitator workshop will begin at noon on Friday, Oct. 8.
We expect that scholarships will be available to cover part of the cost of the workshop.
