AAUW Asheville is a vibrant branch with over 100 members and multiple special interest groups. We meet several times a year, some with speakers from 11:30 to 1:00 on the last Tuesday of the month, and some social events. Our focus is AAUW mission related, especially in public policy and advocacy and STEM related activities with community partners. Our GEM Fund scholarship program with A-B Tech and UNC Asheville for women whose education has been delayed or interrupted is supported by fundraising and our more than $550,000 endowment.
